Bab 92: SUSPICIONS

As Dylan released Dr. Frank, the doctor crumpled to the ground, unconscious and at the mercy of the chaotic events unfolding around them. With a sense of urgency gripping his heart, Dylan turned his attention to Myra, knowing that he had to get her out of harm's way. His hands moved swiftly, disconnecting her from the sensors that tethered her to the monitoring equipment. Yet, as he did so, a deafening alarm pierced the air, signaling their unauthorized departure from the ward.

The realization struck Dylan like a thunderbolt—while he had remained unnoticed when disconnecting himself from the sensors, Myra's safety was evidently a top priority to those in charge. With no time to ponder the implications, Dylan scooped Myra into his arms, her slight form fitting perfectly against his chest as he held her in a protective embrace.
