Bab 87: LOGICAL DECISIONS

As Josh strode purposefully towards the infirmary, his mind consumed by thoughts of Ashley's well-being, he unwittingly stumbled upon a clandestine conversation unfolding behind closed doors. The weight of the words that echoed through the corridor froze him in his tracks, his heart pounding with a mixture of shock and disbelief.

"Prepare to transfer Miss Queen's abilities," the authoritative voice rang out, sending a chill down Josh's spine. His brow furrowed in confusion as he grappled with the implications of such a statement. What could they possibly be discussing? And why would they dare tamper with Ashley's abilities?

Unable to ignore the gnawing curiosity gnawing at him, Josh found himself drawn back to the door, his every sense attuned to the conversation unfolding within.

He couldn't bear the idea of her abilities being manipulated against her will. Without hesitation, he pushed it open, the conversation within abruptly halting at his entrance.
