Indeed, many more ogres broke through the layers of soil overhead and jumped downwards. One ogre pounced towards the spot where Leng Le had just stood. If Leng Le hadn't stepped back, she would've been the ogre's snack.

"Damn it!" Leng Le, who had been trained before, activated the weapon attached to her shoes. A sharp blade shot out from the tip of her shoe. She then kicked out, piercing the ogre's neck directly.

If one-on-one, Leng Le would find it difficult to defeat the ogre despite her skill. However, the key was that the ogres, after their jump from above and the impact upon landing, had all their actions slowed. Leng Le grabbed this opportunity and took down the enemy in one move.

But while Leng Le was able to react and seize the opportunity, other people couldn't. Facing the increasing number of emerging ogres, many were knocked off guard by the falling ogres, quickly torn to shreds before they could understand what was happening.
