The elf maidens outside the carriage window, each of them, were older than the combined ages of everyone in the Advance Team. Even the babbling elf toddlers were older. This was what felt most off to them.

Because the buildings were made of green stone slabs and were under tree shade, they felt a sudden coolness, utterly lacking the stuffy heat of a primitive forest.

The whole of Divine Wood Town gave a sense of a peaceful paradise. Those who lived here were at peace with the world. Merely staying here for some time, it seemed, could make one forget about the troubles and conflicts of the outside world. If Ilanadale wasn't so exclusionary, this would certainly be an ideal tourist destination.
