The child was missing, and as the nanny, she couldn't escape responsibility.

Elly Campbell closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and forced herself to stay calm, over and over again.

"Did you call the police?"

"Yes, we've already reported it. The police are checking the surveillance footage along the route."

Elly nodded. The house she was living in was a property of her cousin, Arthur Clark, located in the busiest and most densely populated area of the city center.

She chose to stay here because it was convenient for her commute to work and not far from William's kindergarten.

But now it was not advantageous. The more populous the area, the harder it was to find William.
