Bab 31: Blood Knight(4)

As soon as Blood Knight spoke the words "Blood Magic - Blood Incinerate," the veins of everyone within a 400-meter radius of him burst simultaneously.

Even those who attempted to flee before attacking Blood Knight were unable to escape the effects of the spell. Blood erupted from their bodies and ignited like fuel, engulfing them in a sinister red flame.

"AAHHHHHHH"

"W-what's happ-AHhhhhahhh"

The victims writhed in agony, rolling on the ground in an attempt to extinguish the flames.

Their screams echoed through the air until their nerves were completely burned to ash, leaving their tissues and muscles exposed.

Most died from suffocation before their nerves were even burned.

Morsan, on his thirteenth birthday, acquired the Royal Incubus bloodline, which enabled him to delve into the realm of self-created magic known as Blood Magic - Blood Incinerate.

This unique form of magic draws upon the same principles as Mana corruption. Utilizing his Soul Power (S.P) in conjunction with Blood Magic - Blood Manipulation, Morsan possesses the ability to harness demonic flame, fueled by the blood of his adversaries, to directly incinerate their bodies.

Remarkably, this infernal fire continues to consume its victims until Morsan chooses to retract his Soul Power, leaving nothing but ashes in its wake.

Blood Knight had many ways to kill his victims painlessly, but he chose this method to watch them suffer. He watched coldly as they cried out in pain and begged for mercy.

Morsan had not become sadistic or merciless over the years; he had simply learned that allowing criminals to live only caused problems for others. Three years ago, he had released people like these after they promised not to commit any more crimes.

However, the very next month, they burned down an entire village and kidnapped many people. Morsan realized then that these criminals had lost their humanity and that allowing them to roam free would only make things worse for innocent people.

Imprisonment did not work, so he began killing them whenever necessary. When he remembered what victims had gone through, he couldn't see these bandits as humans anymore. He only felt like cleaning the trash in his house as they died gruesomely.

After the demise of all the bandits, he meticulously combed through their amassed treasures and tidied up the cave before making his exit.

He noticed it when one of the members of the bandit group stumbled upon their secret hideout when Morsan looked into the magic crystal ball.

As he emerged from the cave, he witnessed Vigeil perched on a rock, his soul departing from his lifeless body.

This was not an unfamiliar sight for Morsan, as he had witnessed countless individuals succumb to mental anguish upon learning that their loved ones had fallen into the clutches of corrupt and powerful individuals.

Despite the agonizing screams and torment of the bandits, he heard a moment ago, Vigeil's countenance remained devoid of any emotion.

Vigeil gazed at him with vacant eyes and inquired, "...Sir Blood Knight, is my sister... alive? Can she be saved?"

"Yes, she is alive and can be rescued,"

Morsan promptly replied, even though he was merely a pawn in the grand scheme to draw out the culprits from their hideout. The prince's shadows should have discovered the whereabouts of his sister. Morsan had unwavering faith in their intelligence-gathering capabilities.

They were the true force behind the punishment of corrupt nobles.

He was certain that Vigeil's sister was alive, as she was a valuable good in human trafficking and slavery for those corrupted individuals. They would not harm their valuable assets.

Vigeil's eyes welled up with tears upon hearing Morsan's assurance. After pursuing him for some time, they finally arrived near Hifro Village.

Morsan simply needed to hand over the evidence he had gathered from the bandits to the leader of the prince's shadows, and they would take care of the rest. He only had to assist them when necessary.

However, just as they were about one kilometer away from the village, they found themselves surrounded by soldiers from the border town. More than fifty soldiers surrounded them in all directions while vigilantly pointing their weapons at Morsan. .

"HALT!!!.."

One of the soldiers with a spear in his right hand came forward as he gestured his men to wait for a moment. By the reaction, Morsan guessed he must be their captain or commander for their unit.

"Sir Chreg!!"

Morsan raised his eyes when heard the low voice of Vigeil as he looked at the figure of a man who wearing full-plated silver armor, with blond hair and blue eyes.

'So is he the one that bandit leader talked about huh?'

Morsan rolled his eyes in annoyance as he figured out what was going to happen.

A man named Chreg looked at Morsan with cold arrogant eyes and a smirk on his face as he showed a scroll that was embedded with a noble degree.

"It is an order from lord Erfin, Blood Knight, you are under the arrest due to the suspicion of recent people missing and human trafficking to the Siltvelt. We also suspect, you mentally manipulating the body named Vigeil using your magic. Please cooperate with our investigation."

Vigeil, who had been in a state of emptiness all this time, snapped out of his daze upon hearing him.

"H-huh? Suspecting human trafficking with Mr. Blood Knight?!... What nonsense are you spouting?! When I pleaded with all of you to find my missing sister, you did nothing to help me. You did nothing to locate missing individuals, nothing about the bandits in the mountain area all these years, and now you're attempting to arrest Mr. Blood Knight, who is assisting me in finding the real culprit and my sister... by framing him... Haha... so it's true!! You... all of you were the true culprits all along. CHREG... WHERE IS MY SISTER?!!"

His eyes turned bloodshot as he shouted. Despite the soldiers' intimidating presence, he attempted to lunge at Chreg, who was a prime suspect in his sister's disappearance.

Bab 32: Blood Knight(5)

As Vigeil prepared to lunge at Chreg, Morsan swiftly seized his collar and forcefully pulled him back.

*Woosh*

Startled, Vigeil gasped in astonishment as an arrow grazed his right cheek, narrowly missing him. If Morsan hadn't intervened, he would have met his demise right then and there.

Vigeil's eyes trembled visibly as he contemplated the audacity with which they launched their attack as if it meant nothing.

"They are attempting to assault us!... Prepare to attack... NOW..."

Chreg sneered at Vigeil, who returned his gaze with a seething hatred. Vigeil grew flustered and frustrated by their irrational behavior, realizing that they hadn't come to apprehend them, but rather to eliminate them.

They were determined to keep the truth concealed, and Vigeil had unwittingly provided them with the perfect excuse to attack. Not only had he endangered himself, but he had also entangled the Blood Knight in this difficult situation.

Despite everyone else's refusal to assist him, the Blood Knight had been the sole individual who had tried to aid Vigeil.

Vigeil did not know the Blood Knight's true strength compared to these knights, but he surmised that even the Blood Knight couldn't possibly face all of these knights simultaneously.

Lost in his thoughts during this brief moment, Vigeil felt a reassuring pat on his shoulder. He heard the calm voice of the Blood Knight.

"Vigeil... step back... I can handle this..."

There was no trace of fear or agitation in his demeanor or his words. As Vigeil observed his unwavering confidence, he recalled the unfounded rumors he had heard about how the Blood Knight had single-handedly vanquished a group of skilled assassins at the tender age of eight.

He didn't believe those unreasonable rumors, who could believe something absurd such as a rumor that a small child would kill the assassins all by himself, but now 'Or perhaps is it true?!' he couldn't help but doubt himself.

Without minding about a complicated look on Vigeil's face, Morsan stepped forward. The soldiers who were ready to launch their attack halted their movement for a moment as they watched his confident demeanor.

"*Sigh*, whatever it's perfect anyway. I don't need to spend another day to find you all." All of the surrounding people paused as he clapped his hands soundly with an amused smile.

"I hereby forbid everyone within 500 meters even an inch, including the 15 hooded figures who were hiding in the surroundings. If you move without my permission, I will make you guys regret it for all of your life."

Vigeil cautiously surveyed the surrounding forest, his senses heightened as he learned of the presence of fifteen hooded figures lurking nearby. A shiver ran down his spine, causing him to tremble slightly.

Although he couldn't detect anyone in his vicinity, he observed the twisted expression on Chreg's face as he glanced at Morsan's calm demeanor.

The soldiers gasped in shock when the Blood Knight mentioned the hidden figures. It was unfathomable to Vigeil that these knights had enlisted some unknown hooded individuals to eliminate them.

The more he observed them, the more repulsed he became by their actions. Furthermore, he realized that the Blood Knight possessed enough strength to coerce others into aiding them in this battle.

Chreg, visibly frustrated, looked at the frozen soldiers and shouted, "Do not panic! We have nearly seventy people on our side, whereas he stands alone. Moreover, he has just fought against mountain bandits... now is the opportune moment to attack him and capture the blood devil. ATTACK!" Despite Morsan's stern warning they decided to move from where they were standing to attack him.

"Blood devil? That is a term I am unfamiliar with... Whatever, you all were the ones who chose violence... '[Blood Burst],'"

Morsan playfully muttered as he observed them charging towards him, along with the hooded figures, leaving only a handful of soldiers and six hooded individuals behind.

When he uttered the words "[Blood Burst]," their blood vessels simultaneously burst. Their movements came to a halt.

"W-what is happening?!"

Even Vigeil, who was hiding behind the Blood Knight, couldn't help but feel fear at the bizarre sight before him.

"[Blood Magic - Blood Manipulation]," he muttered once again, causing the blood that had burst from their bodies to float in the air, forming a thick, red thread. In an instant, these threads merged, creating a blood spear that impaled their bodies and pinned them to the ground.

More than fifty people were instantly eliminated, yet miraculously, they all remained alive...

Vigeil saw their pleading cries as they were gruesomely pinned by the spears that were made of their blood. Despite being penetrated at several places on their body they were alive as if Blood Knight purposefully controlled those spears to attack the non-lethal parts of their body.

This was the first time he heard someone could control their spell to this extent, it made him admire and fear Blood Knight at the same time. Even though he wasn't one of these people, he followed Blood Knight's order and didn't move an inch all of this time.

Some hooded figures and soldiers who heeded Morsan's warning were spared without a single scratch on their bodies. They remained frozen in place, just like Vigeil, their eyes filled with deep fear.

A few of the wounded individuals attempted to mutter incantations to cast spells, but their lungs had been so severely damaged that they couldn't produce enough air to pronounce any words.

Even though Morsan hadn't explicitly forbidden the use of magic, the remaining people who were unscratched were too terrified to even attempt it.

"Y-you!! You're a devil!! There's no way... a human could do something like t-this..."

Chreg, one of the survivors, hadn't budged from his spot. He had only given the order for his people to attack Morsan, but he himself hadn't moved.

"YOU ARE THE TRUE DEVIL!!!"

Pointing his trembling hands at Morsan, he shouted.

"Oh~, Devil? me? How amusing.." Morsan approached Chreg with a playful smirk on his face.

"N-no, no... DON'T COME ANY CLOSER..."
