Bab 209: Going To The Death Land

Two days later, under a sky painted with the soft hues of dawn, the five Tier 4 Ascendants - Alfred, Cassandra, Erik, Lydia, and Vincent - converged in front of the grand gate of Pyrohaven. The air was cool and crisp, a gentle breeze swirling around them, belying the grave danger that awaited in the Death Land.

Cassandra stood with an air of unshakable pride, her back straight and her chin slightly lifted. Breaking the morning's silence, she questioned, "Are we really venturing into the Death Land with just the five of us?" Her voice was laced with skepticism, her eyes scanning the faces of her fellow Ascendants.

Erik, exuding confidence with every fiber of his being, responded promptly, "Yes, it's only us. No need for an army where we're headed." His stance was relaxed, yet his eyes were alert, ready for whatever lay ahead.
