I looked at him a few steps ahead of me, walking gracefully like the forest is not bothering him even one bit.

Whereas I was staggering and tripping every now and then, always keeping an eye on the bushy trees with hanging creepers and vines.

"Mr Sylvester? Can you please tell me where you're taking me? Didn't you say that I have to prove myself? Then what are we doing here?"

I kept shooting questions, grinding my teeth together and his stiff and muscular back which was mixing with the surrounding darkness.

I thought he would do something like telling me to hunt an animal or some other thing to prove myself because as soon as I said that I was ready to prove myself to him, that was when he got out of the house and muttered for me to follow him.
