Bab 429: A Changed Woman

Soliene knocked on the room in the morning. She didn't even remember how she had ended up in a room herself. She remembered clearly that she was standing at the door guarding it as she had promised Damien.

"Now the duke is going to burn me alive if something happened to Eve." she cursed as she knocked on the door again.

"Your grace, it is me, Soliene. Are you alright there?" A hint of desperation leaked into her voice as she did not get any reply and knocked again but no sound came from the other side.

"Should I break the door if I prove that it is an emergency?" she sighed and contemplated when the priestess from the last night came and opened the door with a key making Soliene frown.

"You have locked the saintess in her room?" her voice was full of disbelief. But the priestess did not spare her another look as if she could not hear Soliene.
