Harold's eyes widened with disbelief. He had let go of his pride, his respect to get her appreciation. Not that he was sure that she could heal him. But if she was getting support from the church, his eminence might help him. He could not let this chance go. Not because of a foolish redhead who thought that she was a man.

He swallowed all the rage he felt and looked pathetic again. The goal was to lower her guard. He knew that he would not be successful at once.

"I understand." he accepted her decision, surprising both of them. "I know it is hard for you to believe me. I would not have believed myself too. After all, I have wronged you so many times.
