"You do not need to be.." he paused, searching for words. But insults could never be kind. Could they be? So he let them go. "I will design the route for you so that you could revise the bills but it would take at least a week. And then I will get back to you?" he raised a brow as if asking but his tone was dismissive.

Her eyes narrowed and her brows furrowed. He was fooling her.

"I might look gullible, my lord. But I am not a child." she gave him a condescending smile and for a second, he felt the air around her going thin. 

"I meant…" 

"You will take a week for a small job like that?" she added, cutting him brutally. Eve had learnt well from Cotlin when to bow and when to show her fangs. "Then I think I have chosen the wrong person for my help. Here.. let me help you."
