Bab 213: Forgiveness

"Help me, save me." 

"Do not worry, Damien, I have it under control, you do not need to worry."

"Damien… I am sorry."

"Tell my daughter that I love her. I… will miss her." as if a black vortex had sucked him. He could see many faces, hear many voices and feel the pain of many people at once. Their faces charred with fire and their eyes full of tears and regrets stared at him and at once he felt suffocated.

As if all of them were cursing him. No matter what they said, he could hear regret in their voices. A look of helplessness and it was all because of him. He closed his eyes to get rid of that state when he felt a pair of cold hands holding him and suddenly it all felt distant. As if someone had held her and pulled her out of that void, that desperation.

He opened his eyes to see her looking at him with worry. He searched for words, found none. She looked at him with pity. Which was so wrong. She should be looking at him with hatred.
