Bab 182: Bewitched

"She thinks about me all the time. Even if it is hatred, I am in his heart. Where are you your grace?'' The words haunted Damien like a curse casted upon him. The moment Eve whispered that cursed name, the spell triggered and he let her go immediately. 

She thought about him in everything. Either she comes closer to him, prepares accounts, cooks or visits the garden. They have memories everywhere and Eve was bound to them. But when it comes to him… she hardly had anything to remember. The thought left a stale taste in his mouth. He was still a stranger to her. 

"Damien.."

"You look exhausted Evangeline. I only wanted to tell you that you should rest." he cut her off and closed her eyes. Eve blinked. But when she looked at his dark eyes and pale face, she sighed. It was exhausting after all. Perhaps they both were tired and needed a rest. She could not pounce on him every time she saw him even if he was her husband.
