Bab 45: (XLV) Remorse

'Master... I'm... sorry...' Khrista called out telepathically. Her eyes closed, shutting out the darkness surrounding her. Her body slumped in the water, floating lifelessly as the aquatic creature released her tail. 

'Wake up!' A voice rang outside in her head, but received no response, repeatedly calling out her name.

It quickly swam away, its powerful muscles shooting it through the water as it took a wide turn, repositioning itself to face the unconscious naga and shot toward her. 

'Return!' The voice said repeatedly, but nothing occurred, and their tone started to grow more desperate.

It opened its mouth, sucking in large amounts of water as it raced toward its prey. It drew closer, sucking in the naga entirely into its mouth. 

'KHRISTA!!!' Sam shouted mentally, startling her as her face started to twitch and her eyes behind her eyelids began to race.
