Bab 132: A Secret

Ife tried to distract herself from his proximity. She struggled to focus her mind on something else, anything apart from his breath brushing against hers, his gentle voice apologizing after a high jump, or when the horse stumbled into a hole or rough path causing them to stumble.

This was Hulk, dear ancestor's, someone she had known for a long time. So why was it now that she was beginning to feel all of this? Or was it just the close proximity?

They passed through a dense forest until they reached a little hut nestled on the outskirts of the kingdom. The hut had a small fire lamp glowing against a wall, illuminating the area.

Hulk spoke behind her, "We have to keep him here, out of reach from people."

His voice caressed her neck, but Ife ignored it and replied, "Good."
