Bab 58: Aloof Demeanor.

The sky rumbled, forming dark clouds above, much darker than Safiya had ever seen. The wind was even fiercer, causing the hairs on her skin to stand erect. Her hold on the horse reins was loosening, and slowly, she felt the immersed pain from her back, as if the wound was reopening again. She looked ahead of her as Malik rode. She was becoming too weak, yet she couldn't ask him for help. She didn't want to. 

The rain touched her skin, and she let out a gasp, her eyes widening slightly. Rain? This wasn't good. Her health would be at stake, and it would also delay their journey. With rain, she would grow weaker, and Malik would think she was too weak, as a lady, to carry on. She wouldn't let him see that side of her.
