Even if he said that, he knew that there were several ways that he could legitimately turn the ten dollars into possibly millions of dollars in a day or two.
All he had to do was simply wait for the primagen to settle in. Which it would probably in the next day and then using the smarts he would get them to change his life for the better.
However as he had said, even if he had the smarts to do it. Those establishments would never allow him into the place due to his current condition.
Who would allow a homeless guy into a cyber cafe or into a casino or anywhere remotely important. It was simply bad business.
Since he had placed his bet and paid, he sat outside the store and waited with his head in his hands. He had absolutely zero idea as to what he would do now.
This was a useless and impulsive venture. The ten dollars was literally the only thing he had on him, the regret was slowly creeping in.
Choosing to leave that behind him, he thought to learn more about the world he was in. Beside the store was a newspaper stand and even if he couldn't purchase it, he could at least read the headlines to get a grasp of what was happening in this world.
In doing so, he found the world to be somewhat similar to the Earth, he was familiar with. There were stories about the Queen of England, America etc
Though there were a few mentions of certain nations he knew nothing about like Latveria. He had never heard of such a nation before but then again, he could barely state all the countries in Europe talk more, the world.
He ignored it and spent his time reading both as a means to learn and also a means to pass time. Even if he had placed the bet randomly, he still hoped to win even if said hope was probably smaller than a mustard seed.
Several hours passed and he could be seen lying on the small bench in front of the store. He had long since gotten bored reading the various news publications and slept off.
"Hello!" A voice shouted as he quickly opened an eye to see who it was
Finally adjusting to the light from the evening sun, he saw the lady standing in front of him. As usual, she maintained her distance but the smile wasn't there.
"Sir, please can you move elsewhere to sleep, I don't mean to be rude but you are chasing away my customers" she said clearly not happy
"Huh?... Oh, sorry about that, I'll leave but before that can I check on my game" He replied
He couldn't blame the woman after all it was clear that she was a more tolerating woman, hehad been sitting on the bench for hours and she was only chasing him away now.
She was trying to run a business and a homeless man who reeked as though he bathed in dirt and mud everyday, sleeping on her doorstep wasn't helping that business.
"Sure... You should have used that money to get yourself something to eat instead but this" she said though whispered the other half
"I'm just fine madam, how do I check it?" He asked
"Just log into the account you created and if you won anything, it'll be the first thing you see" she said
"Thank you" He replied and immediately logged into the account he had just created
His heart beat rapidly at the thought of losing his only remaining money but he had to see it all to the end. He had started it and now, he must finish it.
As soon as the page opened, the first words, he saw were '50,000' in bold and red font. It covered the whole screen making it incredibly had to miss. After reading through the entire pop up, a smile immediately appeared on his face
"Yes!!" He screamed in joyt
