Gu Zhen entered his apartment and saw Nie Yujie with a cooking apron, looking at him with a smile and saying "I'm glad you came back so early, go freshen up while I serve the food."

Nie Yujie felt uncomfortable when Gu Zhen didn't say anything and she wondered what was wrong with him.

"Four years ago, were you involved in Yang Meiyi's death?" Gu Zhen finally asked.

Nie Yujie was shocked but that shock only lasted for a moment. She immediately regained her composure and asked "What sort of question is that? Have you forgotten that I was also Yang Meiyi's friend and aside from that, how could you accuse me of killing someone?"

"So you are saying that you had nothing to do with what happened to Yang Meiyi four years ago?"

"I was also kidnapped. Is this because I was the last person to be with her, is that why you suspect me? Did you forget about the part that even I was kidnapped?"
