Bab 450: Chapter 450: Assistance

Song Jian stared down the barrels of dozens of weapons trained upon him. Many holding them were so nervous they were shaking, their fingers hovering over the triggers of their crossbows. He hurried to say aloud, "I am but a mere traveler passing by and I mean no harm to anyone."

To his eyes, all the guardians of this village were labelled in yellow, indicating their relationship with him was currently in a fragile "indifference" stage, which could turn hostile at any wrong move.

The village stood in the way of Song Jian's journey, posing a challenge. If he wanted to avoid hostilities with the entire village, he'd have to quickly ease the tension between them.

"Oh Lord, captain, I think I saw Paul move! I swear, I didn't see it wrong!" cried a militiaman holding a long spear suddenly, his face stricken with terror.

All the militia cried out in fear and horror, backing quickly away from the village gates.
