"He's my family. You can't just demand him back, not unless he agrees," Amalia said calmly.

Hearing this, Zhar'khaen's fiery anger momentarily paused as he shot her a strange look. "You treat one of our cubs as your family? Do you even know that a Pixiu cub can only truly thrive by staying with its own kind? Our inheritance is different from that of humans."

Zhar'khaen had never heard of a human treating a demonic beast as family. He wondered if Amalia was lying, but from her sincere expression, it didn't seem like she was.

"If that weren't the case, I wouldn't have brought Wealth here to find you," Amalia admitted. She hadn't expected that the seemingly simple-minded Wealth would possess such a powerful bloodline.

"Wealth?" Zhar'khaen was momentarily stunned, shifting his gaze to the small cub in her arms.

"He's our son. His name is Wealth," Amalia explained briefly.
