Kenny Lin immediately picked up the pace.

The light grew brighter and closer until they burst out of the passage into another lake.

They knew it was a lake because of the salinity of the water.

Unlike freshwater lakes, the water here was not entirely salty, even if seawater flooded in, it couldn't completely replace the lake water.

It was like taking a breath of fresh air, and Wealth finally quieted down, no longer scratching at Kenny Lin's clothes.

"This lake seems shallower than Kilika Lake," Amalia remarked, she noticed there's a small dot of light overhead, which indicating the sunlight that was come through the surface of the lake.

Being able to see the light on the lake surface indicated that the lake wasn't deep.

No wonder they hadn't encountered many deep-sea mutated creatures along the way.
