Max appeared in Midnight Heist's Lobby, in the bar he last logged out from. Because the bar was secluded, on the corner of the Lobby, it was devoid of people and loved by those finding solace and playing alone.

Because he had played 3 times, the game had registered his skill level. Thus, it wasn't hard for him to find a match.
