Chapter 31: Completion of Sword Technique
After completing the fifth test, Cheon Mujin was required to report to the Academy Director. And so Cheon Mujin headed straight to the Academy Director and reported.
When Lee Hameng saw Cheon Mujin he felt his entire body instinctively knee before the man. There was just this demonic presence within him that made Lee Hameng just go down on his knees and shout in reverence.
'It seems the legends were true.'
In the academy, specifically in the Sealed Demonic Cave. There is a legend that says that the one who has the 'rights' will meet the demon and gets it's power.
"Congratulations for succeeding on the fifth test, Master Cheon." He didn't call Cheon Mujin cadet 9 anymore since Cheon Mujin now stands at the same level as a Clan Leader. But since he doesn't have a clan under him yet he just called him Master as sign of his respect and as rightfully so.
"Thank you." Cheon Mujin responded with a smile.
"This is the reward for passing the fifth test." Lee Hameng nodded at Hou Jinchang and the latter brought out a silver plaque and a dagger.
"This will serve as your identity from today on. You now belong to one of the highest echelons of the Sky Demon Order. This dagger is also a testament of your achievement, made from cold iron, engraved personally by the lord. Congratulations once again Master Cheon." Lee Hameng said to which Cheob Mujin responded with a satisfied smile.
"Since you have passed the fifth test, you now have the right to know the Sixth test."
Although Cheon Mujin already knew what would happen, Mujin still wanted to hear it personally through mouth.
"Oho?"
"Something tells me that you already know it."
"What nonsense, haha, continue." Mujin laughed to which Lee Hameng sighed.
"The sixth and final test is to defeat the finest warrior in the entire Sky Demon Order. The Council Elders." Lee Hameng announced with a dramatic flair.
"I see." Responded Cheon Mujin blandly. Which made the latter sky for some reason, he builded up some suspense to make it a grand reveal but the latter was so casual to it at all that it felt like a waste for building it up.
"Then can I challenge the Elders now?"
"What? You just passed the Fifth test? Are you sure you want to?" Asked Lee Hameng.
"No need to waste time, Director. Time moves for no one. Not for me, not for you." Replied Mujin which made Lee Hameng sigh in frustration.
"Sigh… I guess you will take the sixth test… this is quite a monumental event actually, except the Former Lord Cheon Inji, no one had challenged the sixth test, except you."
"Then who is the elder you want to challenge?" Asked Lee Hameng and without a beat wasted Cheon Mujin answered.
"The First Elder, no doubt." He said decisively.
"Alright, I'll write up the letter and send it to the Council and Wise Clan."
"I'll be expecting great news from you, Director."
And with that the meeting between the two ended. After the meeting a letter was sent to the Council and to the Wise Clan.

The final monolith. The final formation. Located on the fifth floor.
Cheon Mujin looked at the small hole at the empty Sapphire Monolith. And knew exactly what it was. It's the final formation of the Sword Force of the Sky Demon, the ultimate technique in the entire world unsurpassed by every martial art that has ever existed in the martial plane.
Cheon Mujin stared intensely at the small hole, his entire attention glued into it for exactly four hours.
Only after the fifth hour did he completely understand the trace left in it.
That small hole is the combination of the first formation all the way up to the fourth formation with all of its movement concentrated at one point.
The sword trace engraved at the Sapphire Monolith was exactly the result of that godly combination, and to make it more terrifying, the sword trace on that Saphire Monolith was engraved without any force qi at all. Meaning it was just pure swordsmanship.
(A/N: I'm going to stick to force qi instead of Neigong or Internal energy.)
Mujin reached enlightenment where hundreds of sword movements flashed through his eyes. He exceeded the six hour mark but the instructor who was guarding the fifth floor left Cheon Mujin alone since the latter was experiencing an enlightenment, a very important event for a martial artist.
After Cheon Mujin woke up from his enlightenment he showed an ear to ear smile.
"Completed at last." He smiled.

Wise Clan: Clan Leader's Abode.
Mu Jin Won, the First Elder of the Council and the Clan Leader of Wise Clan. He was known for using both hands to unleash different techniques, which placed him as one of the top 3 most powerful martial artists in the Demonic Cult along with Lord Cheon Yu-Jong and Great Guardian Marakyum. It is stated that he had an undefeated battle record.
He looked at the letter in front of him with cold eyes and said.
"It seems that Musong Ryo raised an arrogant boy. To think he would aim right for the sky when he just leaped out of his mother's womb." He said in a cold and emotionless voice.
"But this is an opportunity."
"That brat has been growing too fast and too powerful, Muyeon would have a hard time succeeding the throne if a monster like him lurks around."
"I guess I'll have to get rid of him with my own hands and pave the way for my grandson."
He said then he snapped his finger, a servant came in and bowed his head.
"Clan Leader."
"Send back a letter to the academy and say I accept the challenge."

The Lord's Palace: Cheon Family Residence
Cheon Yujong. He looked at the letter in front of him with a complicated gaze.
Amongst his sons the only one he has a fatherly love for is Cheon Yeowun. And that is because Cheon Yeowun resulted from Cheon Yujong's love and not political marriage.
Cheon Mujin on the other hand is a true bastard. Not the insult but the literal bastard. When Lady Hwa died he was engulfed in so much grief that he drowned himself in training and alcohol.
Coincidentally enough on one of his drunken nights a girl appeared right before him. It was such a coincidence, the mourning and more likely horny Cheon Yujong took the women's maidenhood and thus it resulted in Cheon Mujin's creation.
He didn't really love Cheon Mujin, as he saw the latter as more of a drunken mistake. That's why he's feeling complicated emotions right now. Should he be proud? Or should he be indifferent?
He didn't really know what to feel. He sighed and just stamped the letter.
'I'll see how this will progress.'

Morning came and Lee Hameng got the letter. And with that he informed Cheon Mujin that seven days later he will have his fight.
The entire cult was in an excited mood. For the first time in several decades someone finally qualifies for the sixth test. And what's more exciting about this is that Cheon Mujin isn't even at the academy for half a year yet he's already on the sixth test challenging Mu Jinwon the third strongest in the entire Cult.
Musong Ryo and Lady So of the Emerald Serpent Clan were very proud that they sponsored the event and provided drinks and food while fighting. They asked the lord of the cult if it was possible to make it a public fight where the entire cult can watch. Technically the entire cult won't be able to watch since their numbers amounted to half a million or so.
The Lord acquiesced to their request since this would be a lot more entertaining and would be a lot more practical.
And so with that seven days passed and the day for the fight had arrived.
