Bab 13: Alliance and Isshiki Otsutsuki.
"What makes you think I will agree to partner up with you?" She asked the smiling man. He had complete confidence that she would agree.
"Well, a number of reasons," he replied, his confidence unwavering. "Such as?" she asked again.
"Such as," he began, "our common interests. We both seek power, and we both seek to eliminate Isshiki Otsutsuki. Momoshiki Otsutsuki will arrive on this planet within fifteen years. So, I propose an alliance. I am clearly stronger than you, considering that you've been locked up for a thousand years. I am more skilled, have a wider and more effective arsenal, and I possess more knowledge of the current state of affairs."
"Moreover, Isshiki Otsutsuki's vessel, Jigen, was most likely not on this planet when Madara cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi. He may have been in another dimension at the time, which would mean the Infinite Tsukuyomi didn't affect him," he added, seeing her consider the new information.
"Hm," she contemplated, weighing the options. True, she wasn't as skilled or powerful as the man in front of her, especially in her current weaker body.
The knowledge of Isshiki and Momoshiki Otsutsuki and the revelation of Momoshiki's impending arrival in fifteen years added a new layer of complexity to her decision.
"Very well then, i shall enter an alliance with you." She said as she nodded, her face contained a small smile.
"For our mutual benefit then," he agreed. The eye on his forehead shone with a silver hue, and two wine glasses replaced the tea cups in their hands.
Her eyes widened slightly. She could understand what he meant by "I am stronger than you," although she didn't take any offense. She could sense that he had more energy than her.
It was because she didn't devour a fully matured Chakra fruit but a half-matured one, and he consumed an entire fully matured Chakra fruit.
"For our mutual benefit," she repeated his chant, and they clinked their glasses, both of them smiling as they did.
This was the start of a beautiful partnership that would eventually turn into friendship, and who knows what else in the future?
-Underground hideout-
Jigen was not having a good time at all.
"That wretch! How dare she!" He yelled to the heavens, his usually cold and calm face now twisted with rage.
Not only had Kaguya used the Infinite Tsukuyomi to lock up all the humans, along with his lackeys, including his cyborgs, but now she had absorbed almost all the chakra on the planet.
And an unknown Otsutsuki had suddenly appeared! What the fuck is happening here!?
"Now that it's come to this, I have no choice but to do this," he muttered to himself. With a determined look on his face, he activated his space-time ninjutsu and entered his own dimension where the Ten-Tails was sealed. It was time to take drastic measures.
A dense cloud of smoke billowed from Jigen's body, obscuring the area. As the smoke cleared, it revealed Isshiki's true form.
With only three days of life left, he knew he had to act quickly. Raising his hand, he began absorbing the Ten-Tails' chakra, gathering as much power as possible for the upcoming battle against Kaguya and the unknown Otsutsuki. He couldn't afford to be careless in this fight.
He used his space-time jutsu to open a portal to the last place where he could detect their chakra signatures. The location was filled with massive trees, and humans were hanging from the branches, covered in cocoons.
"A sore sight to my eyes, inferior creatures the first thing." He muttered as he used Sukunahikona, his Dojutsu ability as he threw hundreds of black reciever rods at the coccoons.
Feeling some of the cocoons that she made to turn those humans into Zetsu's getting punctured and falling, Kaguya had a hunch who could do that.
"Isshiki Otsutsuki," she muttered, and her the eye on her forehead spun, transporting herself and Shinshiki back to Earth.
"You've got quite the nerve to show your face here, Isshiki," Shinshiki said with a grim smirk.
"I shall sacrifice you and that wench over there to the Juubi to obtain the chakra fruit," Isshiki declared loudly with a smirk.
"Do you truly believe you can face both of us and survive?" Shinshiki asked, his face deadly serious, and a terrifying pressure emanated from him, destroying the ground within a ten-meter radius.
The blue glow emanating from his forehead eye intensified as they were transported into his dimension, a realm filled with countless floating doors.
Here, he held unparalleled dominance, with the ability to manipulate every facet, from time to space, making him the mightiest Otsutsuki within this dimension.
In contrast, Kaguya's power dwarfed that of Isshiki's by a significant margin. Consuming a chakra fruit from this planet granted her immense strength, whereas Isshiki's choice to reincarnate in a weaker vessel left him walking a path toward his own demise.
Despite the formidable power of this unknown Otsutsuki, Isshiki still held a trump card.
He acknowledged that this enigmatic Otsutsuki surpassed his own strength, and Kaguya, despite being weaker due to her choice of a weaker vessel, still outclassed him.
With these odds stacked against him, Isshiki needed to rely on his secret weapon.
Isshiki took action, opening his hand to release countless tiny cubes that fell throughout the dimension.
These cubes were adorned with orange and red lines along their edges. Using his Sukunahikona ability, he enlarged these cubes to their original size.
With a single wave of her hand, Kaguya unleashed The Eighty Gods Vacuum technique, a formidable display of power. This technique, solidified with incredibly dense chakra, sent fists hurtling forward to pummel the cubes to bits.
Shinshiki seized the moment, pricking his finger, which healed instantly. He allowed a single drop of blood to fall onto a door that had appeared out of nowhere.
The drop of blood transformed, gradually taking on the form of a lesser version of him.
This clone possessed less power, but Isshiki couldn't shrink living beings. The clone operated under Shinshiki's commands, autonomously executing the details of each order he provided.
Giving the clone his command, "Beat him up," the clone complied and engaged in hand-to-hand combat with the Juubi chakra-absorbed Isshiki, without sustaining any considerable damage.
While that was going on, Isshiki had a few tricks up his sleeve, such as throwing the chakra receiver rods at incredible speeds, making them almost impossible to see coming.
He would first shrink them, then enlarge them when they were close enough to pierce through his target's body. However, this wasn't much of a problem for Shinshiki because his regeneration abilities were now off the charts.
No Otsutsuki he knew had regeneration abilities like his. The world where he had consumed the chakra fruit had transformed all of the genetic information inside him, eliminating weaknesses and enhancing strengths.
Punches and kicks were exchanged between the two fighters: a Juubi chakra-absorbed Isshiki and a lesser clone of Shinshiki. Kaguya had come to realize that she was merely a spectator in this battle. The chances of her defeating Shinshiki were minuscule at best.
She understood that Shinshiki had sought her partnership not for her powers, but for something else. Even if he possessed a Juubi somewhere, she knew she wouldn't be the sacrifice, not with Isshiki around.
She observed that Isshiki was clearly losing this battle, weakened by his reincarnation into an improper vessel.
"What a fool," she muttered under her breath as she took flight into the sky, along with the real Shinshiki, They both floated above the battlefield, choosing to watch how this would play out.
However, Isshiki made a big mistake by opening a space portal directly from his dimension where he kept the Juubi to arrive on the battlefield.
Shinshiki smirked, "Heh. What a fool indeed."
