NEOMA observed Tteokbokki.

It wasn't the first time he said he wanted to quit as her bodyguard. Every time she would bully– er, tease him for always losing to her, he would throw a tantrum and write a stupid resignation to her.

But both of them knew that he wasn't serious with it.

[He's dead serious.]

"I don't have the right to be your bodyguard anymore," Tteokbokki said while looking at the red marks on her face with a pained look in his eyes. "How could I not stop an elderly woman from grabbing the teacup from the table and splashing it on you?"

"It happened quickly, Tteokbokki. Even I didn't see it happen."

"Even so, I still reacted late," he said, his voice full of remorse. "If that tea was boiling hot, then…"
