Bab 43: Decisions and suprises

The trio was left outside while looking in confusion at each other, "Suprises?" They murmured and asked," What surprise do you think the Patriarch is speaking about?" 

"Oh, maybe a reward? Something like a weapon or horse" Lachlan said excitedly. 

Evander, being the smartest and wisest of the group analyzed and said, "No I don't believe Patriarch would make such an announcement of it would be just a reward. I think it would be something more serious and besides we already have enough weapons and armor. What is wrong with your current horse? Mmm?" Evander said and gave Lachlan a side-long glance. 

Hearing Evander's words made Lachlan look like a deflated balloon as he calmed down. Solen stayed quiet the whole time, and no one knew what he was thinking but when he saw Lachlan's expression, he could not help but give a chuckle at the young knight's antics.
