Bab 25: Clearing A Doubt

A numb feeling settled over me all the way home, feeling all kinds of emotions at once. Not really aware of my environment because I just wanted to go in and digest the news of my mom, I didn't see the figure apparently waiting for me.

"Serena", I turned to the direction to see a pretty woman with a nervous smile on her face, she looked familiar, perhaps I would have recognised her if I took my time to rack my brain but I wasn't in the mood.

She smiled and stretched her hands, "I'm Becca, a friend of Ryan", my eyes widened immediately when I realised she was the same lady I saw with Ryan the other day. Not even in the mood to deal with anything or anyone that is connected with Ryan at the moment, I'm emotionally spent already, I spoke up with the intention of ending the conversation that wasn't even necessary in the first place.
