“Son, are you sure about this?”

I looked up with a smile as I looked at the pretty woman whom I had known for twenty years.

“Yes, Madam Kiera. I am sure. Besides, a friend of mine had invited me. It’s been a very long time since I have done something like this,” I answered my mother.

My mother looked at me suspiciously as she scanned me from head to toe.

“Aren’t you too dressed for a church service?” my mother, who had stopped going to church God knew when asked suspiciously as she sized me.

I couldn’t help but chuckle helplessly upon hearing that.

I looked at myself and didn’t find anything wrong with what I was dressing.

For the Good Friday service, I had intentionally worn the new clothes that my baby had bought for me, or should I say the ones I bought with the money she gave me as an allowance.
