Ingrid sat inside the carriage, feeling the rhythmic jostle of the vehicle as it moved along the winding road. The sound of hooves echoed outside, blending with the creaking of the carriage wheels.
She fidgeted with her gloves, twisting them nervously between her fingers as she glanced at the window several times. Finally, unable to resist any longer, Ingrid drew back the curtains and leaned out of the window, the rush of wind tousling her hair.
"Is it fun to ride a horse?" Ingrid called out above the noise, her voice barely audible over the din of the road.
Caym, riding on a brown horse beside the carriage, turned to glance at her with a smirk. To blend in and attract less attention, he had opted for a normal steed instead of his imposing war horse.
