Kayla's POV

"But Harrison, you clearly promised me! From now on, no matter what happens, we'll be by each other's side! This time is no exception!"

I stared into Harrison's eyes, expressing my discontent.

"But, darling, Daisy still needs your care," Harrison said, gently trying to persuade me to stay, with a touch of appeasement in his tone.

"Besides, after we received that list, I've already had my people investigate the backgrounds of every family. The family I'm visiting today has the least likelihood of being involved in the conspiracy from back then. So, I won't encounter any danger, my love,"

Harrison explained. Harrison's explanations didn't ease my concerns.

I continued to gaze at him, refusing to back down.

"Daisy has a nanny to take care of her. Moreover, if you say today's visit is safe, then bringing me along won't cause you any inconvenience, will it?"
