The Eastern Fleet's main warships, massive steam-powered vessels of war, had all set out, tasked with attacking every Blackstone Empire ship in the Mid Sea, be they merchant ships or warships.

His purpose at the port was to meet with Old Money, who had sent him a series of emails. 

Most were about the logistics of supplies, but some contained vital intelligence, including hints that some city-states within the Rhine Alliance might be seeking cooperation with the Blackstone Empire. 

During a stop in the Snow Falcon Empire, Old Money also heard rumors of potential alliances between them and the Blackstone Empire.
