Ariana kept quiet for a while, thinking about her conversation with her husband last night. Even though the whole conversation became blurry because of 'some activities' that she couldn't reveal out loud, she still remembered his answer which was the most important part.

"Speaking of him, I talked to him before and I also asked him to protect me directly."

"Protect you? What kind of protection that you mean?" Carl finds it hard to believe this. It's not like Ariana is someone weak like before. Why would she ask something so absurd?

"I've been thinking a lot these past few days. Even if we have a huge bunch of soldiers or people by our side we still need a powerful title. No matter how strong I am in terms of my power, to change what's wrong in this empire can't happen without someone like him. That's why I want him to trust me even a little."
