"Ahh that was my best sleep in a while." Helena said while stretching.
She looked at Blanc's sleeping face and a sweet smile can be seen on her face as she remembered their passionate night together.
"You can do it if you try after all.. last night felt really good."
Helena whispered to Blanc then gave him a sweet kiss on his cheeks.
She stood up from the bed and quickly took a bath since they would have to leave the inn soon to continue with their preparations and journey.
A while later, the three of them met at the lobby of the inn.
They ate a sumptuous breakfast before proceeding to the market.
At the market.
"Boss, can I have 100 sacks of rice, 50 sacks of wheat…5 packs of this.. 20 packs of that."
Blanc purchased item after item with the silver coins looted from the bandits.
He needs to stock up on long lasting foods since it will be hard to get their hands on food at the early stages of their village establishment.
They need to make sure that they will not starve to death until they can adjust to their new environment and be able to hunt or make their own food.
After buying food, Blanc went on to other stores to buy cheap but thick clothing and blankets in bulk in order to get a huge discount.
These clothing and blankets will be distributed towards the future villagers that will entrust their lives to Blanc and establish the village together with him.
He made enough preparations and even bought a lot of extras since they don't exactly know how many people are willing to settle with them.
"Boss, looks like I bought a little too much, my current large horse cart can't accommodate them all right now so I will come back later after I pick up a few more horse carts.
"Sure, just show me this receipt as proof. I'll keep your things at the back for the meantime." The store owner replied while giving him a receipt of his purchases.
"Thanks."
After settling the matters regarding food and clothing, The three of them went to the smith shop to buy tools such as axes, blades, and other necessary tools for farming and gathering their own resources in the wild, coupled with some weapons to protect themselves with.
The horse cart is really really full now and they cannot purchase anymore so before continuing, Blanc led the three of them to purchase 9 more large horse carts in addition to the one they have for a total of ten.
Since they got lots of silver from looting the bandits, it is better to buy extra rather than be lacking when you need such stuff.
In addition, they would not be able to use these silvers in the wild anyway so might as well spend it right now in exchange for the things they will need and increase their chances of survival
Blanc and Helena drove one large horse cart each while Adelaine is just tagging along since she cannot drive her own horse cart.
They left the rest of the horse carts in the shop temporarily and they will retrieve them later after meeting up with the refugees.
They went back to the fabric shop and claimed their purchases then headed straight towards the farmer's stalls in order to purchase seeds, cages, poultry, and rabbits.
This is the most crucial thing they need to get since they would need the seeds to start their own farms and they plan to take care of chickens and rabbits for meat consumption.
Rabbits can multiply really fast and would be a good source of food for their village, while chickens can lay egg and can also be slaughtered for meat.
After purchasing everything they needed, they brought the two large horse carts towards the east gate to meet up with the refugees.
After a few hours of travelling, they finally reached the east gate.
"Helena, Adelaine, look around carefully for anyone that we may know. I didn't expect that our group of refugees weren't the only refugee group in the east gate."
"Got it big bro!"
"Leave it to me!"
After a few minutes of searching, they still cannot find anyone they know.
Just as the three of them are starting to get anxious..
"Blanc! Lady Helena! Lady Adelaine!"
A familiar voice sounded and the three of them turned to look.
Tears welled up in Blanc's eyes as he was really worried about his mother for the past few weeks but he couldn't show it in front of the sisters.
"Mother! I'm glad you're safe! I really am!" Blanc said as he hugged his mother tightly and his mom hugged him back.
"Me too, son! I did not have any news regarding what happened to the three of you so I was on edge the entire time. I'm really glad that the three of you are safe."
After the touching reunion, Blanc went on to explain his plans to his mother.
Gwynette Rougenfort, Blanc's mother, knows her son well and has a huge amount of trust in him so he did not hesitate to help him relay the information to the refugees.
As for who will go with them, they would only know after trying.
Blanc's mom went back to him and confirmed that there are a total of 55 refugees who are willing to go with them.
This is an unbelievably small number compared to their total number in the thousands.
In the end it isn't that they don't trust Blanc but they still have other family members and friends who are in the kingdom and they are not willing to leave for the time being.
They gathered all the willing refugees and walked towards the two large horse carts with their supplies.
Upon seeing the horse carts, the refugees were relieved that they at least have some basic resources to start working with.
But all of them will not fit in just two large horse carts. They started worrying about the journey.
"Blanc.. How will we go towards the gloomy plains? We have discussed and walking there is not a problem for us but it will be filled with unimaginable danger and it will take a very long time before we can reach the area." Blanc's mom inquired worriedly.
Blanc looked at everyone in their group and said.
"Don't worry everyone, I have purchased 8 more large horse carts and just left them at the shop since there was no one who could drive them on the way here."
"After we pick up the horse carts, there will be plenty of room for everyone and it will not be crowded at all while we are travelling so we will be fairly comfortable."
Upon hearing this, the refugees who decided to follow Blanc talked to each other happily as if thinking that they've made the right decision and that Blanc seemed like a very good leader.
After walking for a few hours, they finally reached the horse cart shop and they were assigned to groups, each group with their own horse cart and the resources were divided evenly among each horse cart to lighten the burden of each horse.
Everyone has divided themselves fairly equally and has settled on their own horse carts.
"Seems like everyone is ready. Let's go, everyone! onwards to the gloomy plains!"
Onwards my boizz.. to the Village establishment arc!
