Norman Capris felt as if the sky was falling and the earth was collapsing around him. He had managed to get on the wrong side of the criminal police's unit captain.

Suddenly, a cruel intention flashed in his eyes.

Before Matilda Wilson could berate him, Norman shoved a piece of cloth in her mouth and swiftly tied her hands together.

Clydie was already terror-stricken at the mention of the police.

Norman thrust a cell phone into Clydie's hand: "Say exactly what I told you to say. Say one extra word, and I won't hesitate to slap you."

Clydie's eyes welled up with tears and her heart pounded as the phone rang indefinitely.

She never felt time passed more painfully.

The call connected and Clydie felt her heart leap in her chest.

She saw Matilda desperately shaking her head, hope filling her eyes.

Meanwhile, Norman narrowed his eyes at Clydie, his gaze locked onto her.
