Silvia Hayes glanced at her watch, tapping her foot impatiently.

Finally, the prison gate opened, and a figure staggered out.

"Mom." Silvia Hayes rushed to greet her.

Her eyes were ringed with dark circles that spoke of bad sleep, her appearance haggard and pitiful.

Upon seeing Silvia Hayes, Guele Rinto immediately broke down in tears.

Silvia Hayes patted her on the back, "I'm sorry, mom. I shouldn't have let you suffer."

Silvia Hayes could see her cousin was trying to teach her mother a lesson. By choosing to help her mom, she'd be defying her cousin.

Caught between the two, she chose silence.

She let it be a lesson for her mother.
