Juliet jogs over to me and throws her arms around me. I catch her in my arms with a laugh.
“That’s one hell of a greeting.”
“I missed you,” Juliet says, blushing a little as I set her down. “Oh, my gosh. Are we supposed to go on the date tonight? Did I completely blank on that?”
“No, no.” I chuckle, watching her panic a little. She looks so worried that she forgot our first date.
“Oh, no? Okay, so what brings you by? Not that I don’t mind you stopping by,” Juliet says with a big smile.
“After last night, and this morning, I wanted to come by and have a conversation.” I might have chosen the wrong words because Juliet’s smile drops, a concerned expression taking over her features. She takes a step away from me and narrows her eyes.
“Are you already breaking up with me?” Juliet’s voice is shocked but she still manages to sound sarcastic as well.
