Bab 20: Chapter 20 : Kat is in town!

“What the hell was that?” Kat turns to me the second Logan leaves, her eyebrows raised.

“What are you talking about?” I ask, grabbing her bag and taking it into the living room. Kat follows me, a bounce in her step.

“What’s going on between you and the hot contractor?” Kat pries, sounding excited.

“Nothing. Nothing at all,” I say and turn to get us a drink from the kitchen. Kat grabs my arm and whips me around to look at her.

“Jules! That was not ‘nothing’. Have y’all hooked up? He’s very hot, good for you,” Kat cheers me on and it makes me chuckle.

“We did not, have not, and probably will never,” I tell her and she eyes me suspiciously. “Come on, let me pour you a drink.”

“Oh, yes, please! That flight was horrible. I wanted to surprise you by showing up early and the only seat left on the flight was a middle seat at the back of the plane. I mean it was by the bathroom which is both good and bad.”
