"Godfather, your eyes look scary!"

David breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that she was in a good condition. "You, why are you so careless? I feel uncomfortable seeing you hurt."

He called Jazmine last night, and she accidentally told him that they were in the hospital. He got worried, so he turned down a lot of work and came back directly. He was relieved when he confirmed that the child's injuries were not serious. However, Jazmine next to him had a bad face. She was immersed in her own world. Even though he was already sitting beside her, he didn't attract her attention at all.

David asked, "Jazmine, is there something wrong?"

It was then that Jazmine's attention was diverted back. She realized that she was spacing out, so she quickly smiled. "I'm fine."

David was distressed. "You must be too tired to take care of Nina. I will stay today. You can go back and rest."
