In Steel Armor Shelter, Bian moved forward with determined strides. He had two months to grow stronger before his journey to the Jade Mountains.
[Geno points gained: 100 ordinary geno points; 100 primitive geno points; 100 mutant geno points; 11 sacred geno points.]
"I'm tired of deserts, let's try somewhere else" Bian went to meet Qin Xuan.
"Bian Manwei, I can only say it has been a pleasure. This will probably be the last time we talk before I ascend" Qin Xuan said to this enigma she barely talked to.
"Congratulations station master, so Yang Manli will be in charge of the special group now?" Bian made some small talk.
"Alright I at least know you didn't come here to see me. What is it you want" Qin Xuan said to Bian with a sly smile.
"Actually, I came to see you. And now that I've seen you, I just remembered I need a map of all the hunting areas around Steel armor shelter." Bian said with a straight face.
"A map like that is worth more than money" Qin Xuan said to Bian.
"I'll trade you a sacred-blood shapeshifting beast soul for it," Bian proposed. He no longer found the sacred blood golden-furred Giant Tiger useful, especially since it wasn't a humanoid sacred-blood creature.
"I'll make it worth your while," Qin Xuan accepted the beast soul and provided him with a map of prime hunting locations, along with data on dangerous creatures and areas to avoid, such as the Jade Mountains and an anthill colony known as the Ant Nest.
"Thank you as always. Good luck on your ascension" Bian said and walked out of the shelter, he found the bolder and moved it aside. After digging for a bit he found the two life essences and put them in his bag.
After this Bian made his way towards the ant nest. After riding on his mutant mount for ten days he arrived at a desolate land.
There were no trees or grasses, just some occasional shrubs here and there. In the middle of this desolate plain a large volcano like structure stood, it had multiple holes all around it and a large hole at the top.
Bian paused to formulate a plan, then used sparticle to reach the top before any ordinary ants could react. He dropped all his remaining ghost butterfly boomerangs into the large hole and made a swift retreat.
A chain reaction of over a hundred one-time use ghost butterfly boomerangs ignited a blue flame eruption in the volcano-like structure, instantly killing millions of ants, including ordinary, primitive, and mutant ones. Sacred-blood creatures remained unharmed, while only mutant creatures within the volcano were affected.
When Bian saw the ridiculous number of beast souls he had acquired, he knew there must be a lot of sacred-blood ants in the volcano.
SCREECH!
A deafening screech came from the top of the volcano as a green ant the size of a house made its way out. From the data Bian collected, the sacred-blood ants were the size of a small car.
"Super creature!" Bian didn't expect to meet a super creature so soon. The ant crawled out the volcano top and sped towards Bian like a bullet, it's speed defied it's size.
"I only have one left" like a matador with a bull, Bian summoned a beast soul blanket throwing it in front of him.
The ant ripped the blanket to shreds in an instant but Bian was gone. Utilizing ghosthaunt, he clung to the ant's neck and struck its head with his berserk super dagger.
CLANK!
A small nick was made in the carpace of the ant, although Bian's fitness wasn't up to par, the sharpness of the dagger made up for it.
One.
Two.
Three.
The ant thrashed about in a futile attempt to dislodge Bian, but his grip remained unyielding
...
Fifty.
After fifty strikes a decent crack had been formed on the carpace. He used yang energy as a boost to plunge the dagger deep into the skull of the ant.
[Super creature crystal ant killed. The beast soul has been gained. Eat the life essence to gain 0 to 10 super gene points. Meat inedible.]
Bian quickly summoned the beast soul armor of the ant. A green crystal armor enveloped him from head to toe providing security without limiting movement.
Bian looked at the swarm of sacred-blood and mutant ants rushing towards him. He held the dagger in a reverse grip and flashed past his opponents, where ever he went heads would fly and limbs would be dismembered.
[Sacred-blood creature crystal ant killed. The beast soul has been gained. Eat the crystal ant to gain 0 to 10 sacred geno points randomly.]
Bian ignored the notifications in his head as he observed the volcano, no other super creature came out but there should still be a red and yellow super ant seeing as how he was besieged by green, red and yellow ants.
Even the combined attack of the sacred-blood ants could not leave a white mark on the super armor, Bian let loose and killed all he could.
After several hours of fighting and moving non-stop Bian used jadeskin to ease the tension building in his muscles. With the dagger one slice equaled one or more kills.
After hours of fighting with no results the ants retreated back into the volcano, Bian summoned the minotaur and little angel and watched as they feasted on the sacred-blood ants leaving the mutant ones behind.
He saved three ants of each color for himself and watched the minotaur and angel eat up all the sacred-blood ants present. He went to a location far away from the volcano, there he ate the meat of the nine ants he carried along.
[Flesh of red crystal ant eaten. One sacred geno point gained.]
...
After three days of eating he had finished the nine ants he carried back. He gained 32 sacred geno points from them, this was possible because the different coloured ants counted as a different species.
He put the life essence of the ant in his bag and checked his status. Bian now had 43 sacred geno points, it still wouldn't be enough for him to defeat a super ant fair and square. He couldn't use the same trick from before as he had no beast soul blanket remaining.
"The ants aren't a good match for my dagger," Bian realized. Ants lacked the circulatory system he could exploit with his dagger, making it more effective against animal-based creatures.
The next day a giant rumble shook the earth.
"What the..." Bian stood on the spot as he looked at the volcano of the ant hill in surprise.
