Bab 147: Chapter 148 The Queen Wolf

Beth's POV

　　"Beth, have you found anything about the veil? I've got some books here."

　　Peter held some heavy books in his arms, piled them in front of me, looked at me encouragingly, clenched his fists, and said, "We will find something! Alpha King wants to talk to Aaron and me about something. I'll go to them now!"

　　He quickened his pace and left the room. I stared at his back, full of resentment. I was so confident that it was an excuse he used to free himself from reading these difficult books.

　　During this period, I read almost all the history of the packs. My eyes were a bit sore, so I decided to take a break. Looking out of the window helplessly, in a trance, I saw a white wolf pass by in the corridor. I blinked, immediately got up, and ran to the door. I pushed it open, but the corridor was empty.
