Bab 99: Chapter 100 Rejection and Mark

Beth's POV

"No!" I mumbled.

Damon took advantage of my trust in him and my urgency to cheat me out of my mate bond with Aaron. I touched my neck with my hand, wanting to find the mark, but it was nowhere to be found.

I stood in situ, trembling, looking at Aaron with regret. I saw the sadness in his eyes.

"Beth, never blame yourself. It is not your fault." Aaron walked up to me. He gently patted me on the shoulder, held me in his arms, and pressed his jaw against my forehead. His low voice came from above my head, making me feel a little more at ease.

"Rest assured. You will be my only mate forever whether we have a mate bond or not. I love you. It has nothing to do with mate bond."

Not far away from us, Emma propped up her body by pressing her hands against the ground and stood up slowly. The place where she was stabbed by the Obsidian Dagger had completely healed. She looked at us with sad, wet eyes, seemingly about to cry.
