Bab 73: Mountains of Life

[Miraculum - 3002] 

Walking down the mountains turned more fatiguing than Killian had expected. Although it was afternoon and the sunlight was peeking through the trees, Killian still found it hard to find his way. He also realized how walking in 17th-century clothes was taxing. The breeches grasped his legs too tightly. 

As he reached the foot of the mountain, he noticed a lot of royal guards patrolling the area. He wondered if the search was still going. He smiled warmly from a distance. Knowing he could prove that 17th-century immortal wrong boosted his morale. Miraculum was their home! How could it be dangerous? 

As he walked closer to the royal guards, he heard them gossiping. 

"She probably died," One of the royal guards said, "Queen Dowager, I mean," He clarified. 

"Queen Mother has made it clear that we must find her dead or alive." The other royal guard sternly stated, "Stop gossiping and look for her."
