"Natasha! You are finally back!"
Sophia lifted her skirt and ran to the door with joy the moment she heard her daughter's voice.
She held her hand and looked at her from top to bottom, making sure that she was healthy and had been eating well.
The moment she saw the blood on her shirt, Sophia almost fainted.
Natasha had to promise and assure her again and again that she was not injured, and the blood on her belonged to big that she was standing too close to when it was killed.
After Natasha's mouth had gone dry trying to put her mother at ease, Sophia was finally able to calm down.
It was only then that she took another good look at her daughter.
'She didn't lose weight…
'Her complexion is even better than before…
'…and she seems to be more fit and healthy..'
Sophia nodded her head, feeling more content.
'As long as she doesn't suffer out there…'
Seeing her mother like this, Natasha felt some guilt, pain, and regret in her heart.
It was at that moment that she decided that this time she would tell her parents what she has been up to during this past half year.
"Natasha, it is good that you have finally come home!"
"Let me tell you, the outside world is dangerous right now, so you should stay at home honestly."
"Yes, it's not safe outside now, you should listen to your mother."
Her father said as he walked towards them.
Natasha was shocked by the sight of her father.
His usually well groomed, elegant, and energetic self was nowhere to be seen.
Malcom had thick dark circles around his eyes to indicate that he had not been getting enough sleep, and his hair was more messy than usual.
"Dad, what happened to you?"
"Your father has been troubled by business matters lately, and he is hardly eating and sleeping."
Sophia said with some sadness.
"What is happening to our family's business?"
Malcom didn't want to worry his spoiled daughter, especially when she had just come back, so he said it simply.
"It is nothing big, just a group of bandits that appeared on the road leading to the capital city, they robbed some of our family's goods."
"I have been trying to think of a counter attack."
"Especially since we have accepted a new delivery order of goods to the capital,"
"If the delivery fails, we will have to pay three times the value of the goods as compensation."
"You don't have to worry about it, I will take care of these things."
Her mother nodded in agreement and changed the subject.
"Yes, leave these matters to your father."
"You just came back home, you must be hungry right?"
"Come, I will personally cook a big meal for you."
Natasha frowned, feeling displeased.
Someone actually dared to rob the goods of their Brande family and made her father so stressed?
She immediately decided to go teach these bandits a lesson.
"Mom, you don't have to cook the meal personally, just ask some servants to cook the food."
"Nonsense, I will cook the meal for you personally!"
Sophia didn't even wait for a response, she went directly to kitchen.
Seeing this, Natasha could only shake her head speechlessly.
'My mother is good at everything, but her only flaw is that she loves me too much.'
"Dad, where is that nest of bandits? And why didn't the general go to encircle and suppress them?"
Malcom didn't know that his daughter was planning on getting rid of the bandits alone, so he didn't hide anything:
"They made the green-hill mountain in the south of the city their den, right along the only road out of here to the capital city."
"As for the general, he refused to mobilize troops to suppress the bandits on the pretext of 'fear of causing chaos'."
"But you don't have to worry about it, I have already thought of a way to get rid of them."
Natasha didn't think too much about the implications of the general's actions, she decided to immediately take action.
"Dad, I suddenly remembered that I forgot to but something for mom, I'll rush to the market real quick to buy it."
"Don't worry, I'll be back by the time the food is ready."
The moment she said so, she ran out without giving Malcom a chance to convince her otherwise.
"Wait! Can't you send someone else to buy it?!"
"No I can't! Gifts are person things!"
When her voice fell, Natasha was already out of sight.
"That girl is so fast! Did her strength as a knight increase?"
"And what does she mean by buying her mother a gift? Don't I also deserve a gift? Ungrateful brat!"
Malcom mumbled as he made his way back into the house.
"Where did Natasha go? How can you let go when she had just arrived home?!"
Sophia who came out after hearing the yelling rebuked her husband with apparent displeasure.
"She went to buy you old woman a gift! I don't know why she loves you more than me when I'm the one who is always cleaning up her messes."
Sophia was pleased to hear that Natasha was not going away.
"That's good, of course she loves… you molding old man, what did you just call me?"
…
Natasha didn't even get on her horse, she wanted to go back as soon as possible and she felt that she was faster than a horse, so she decided to run.
The green-hill mountain was about 50 kilometers away from their manner, and Natasha arrived within thirty minutes.
When she arrived, her breathing was only slightly labored, and she was still energetic.
A group of knights with signs of professional training gathered together, discussing how to rob the Brande family's next goods was what fell into her eyes the moment she arrived.
The person who seemed to be the leader of the bandits was a bare chested man with a lot of chest hair.
He swung his big sword around as he spoke passionately, with his saliva flying all over the place.
"We completed the last mission very easily, but that was because we caught the Brande family off guard."
"This time they must have made preparations for us, and if we want to succeed, we must have to work harder."
"Boss, don't worry. As long as general doesn't send troops, the Brandes can't keep the goods no matter how capable they are!"
"Yes! We have so many strong man gathered here, what could they possibly do?"
"You guys are very arrogant, let us see if you have the ability to back up such big words"
A sudden voice from the side made the bandits panic, and they all reached for their weapons.
The bandit leader was shocked and fearful that a person could suddenly appear near him without him noticing.
He tightened the grip on his sword and yelled loudly to suppress his fear.
"Who the fuck are you?! What are you doing here?!"
"A girl?"
"Look it's just a little!"
"Fuck! She almost scared the shit out of me!"
"Hey little girl, come over here, let uncle punish you!"
Seeing that the person who appeared suddenly was just a teenage girl, the bandits let out a sigh of relief.
What these bandits didn't know was that their leader, who went by the name of big bear, was currently in a cold sweat.
Big bear was one of the few people who had actually broken through to the world of the extraordinary using knight techniques.
He was a real level 1 knight!
So he knew more than anyone what it meant for Natasha to be able to sneak up on him.
'This girl is extraordinary! Reach this level at such a young age?'
'She can't be kept alive!'
Although he felt that it was weird that he couldn't sense her knight force, he just assumed that she was using a special technique to hide it.
"Wait guys, look closer, isn't this Malcom Brande's daughter?!"
A bandit exclaimed out loud.
Everyone else was shocked, especially the bandit leader.
'It turns out that the rumor that Malcom Brande's daughter is stupid and obsessed with becoming a mage is a lie.'
'It must be a smoke screen released by the Brandes and the minister!'
'They must be planning something big!'
'Anyway, I should kill her first and send the news to the prince.'
Big bear swung his sword vigorously and shouted:
"Surround her and kill her! She is alone!"
Although the 'bandits' didn't think it was necessary to surround a little girl, they were well trained, so they followed the orders.
There were hundreds of bandits in the group, and the weakest one was stronger than an average bandit leader, so big bear was completely certain of victory.
Seeing herself get surrounded, Natasha did not panic, she actually became excited.
On her way here, she though of the fact that she would have to face many bandits, so she thought of a way to deal with them.
Natasha waited until she was fully surrounded before she made her move.
She drove more than half of her mana out of her body, manipulated it to make a solid square shape and smashed it onto the bandits.
She did everything in a split second and only the bandit leader had the time to react, and even he did not escape the impact.
Bang!——
"Wow, it actually works!"
Natasha said with some excitement in her voice.
More than 90 percent of the 'bandits' were smashed to death, and Natasha quickly finished off those who weren't.
"Cough, what kind of knight force was that?"
Big bear asked with a astonishment.
"None of your business, now, quickly tell me who sent you, I still have to buy two gifts after this, and make it home in time to eat before the food gets cold."
To her surprise, the bandit leader who had just been relatively healthy one moment, had his face turn an unhealthy shade if green, started vomiting blood, and died within a few moments.
"Poison?"
"Did he poison himself?"
"Whatever, I'm in a hurry."
