As the dust settled from the previous battle, Fred, one of the esteemed mentors, commended Lyria, "A splendid performance! Truly upholding the honor of the Central Academy." However, the atmosphere quickly shifted when Lord Arian, a distinct frown marring his features, urged, "Orion, step forth. I want them utterly defeated."
Orion, emanating a menacing aura, responded confidently, "Fear not, chieftain. I will ensure they neither live in peace nor die with ease." Lysander, sensing the looming threat, addressed his sister, "Lyria, you've done enough. Allow me to take over."
But Lyria, showcasing her indomitable spirit, rebutted, "I can still fight. I can at least wear him down, and if it gets too dire, I'll surrender." Mr. Henry, ever the voice of reason, chimed in, "Always remember, if the battle turns unfavorable, retreat immediately. There's no room for reckless bravery here." Lyria, nodding respectfully, replied, "Understood, Headmaster."
Lyria then locked eyes with Li Yang, who whispered words of caution, "Be careful." She acknowledged him with a slight nod, preparing for the impending duel.
Without any preamble, Orion stepped onto the dueling platform, throwing his card into the air. It transformed mid-air into a towering Gargoyle. Made entirely of stone, with imposing horns and razor-sharp fangs, its eyes remained sealed shut. A sinister purple lightning aura surrounded it, making the atmosphere tense with palpable dread.
With a malicious grin, Orion taunted, "I will end you." Without uttering a word, Lyria directed her Divine Sorcerer to strike at the stone monstrosity. Orion, demonstrating his strategic prowess, commanded the Gargoyle to conjure a shield of purple lightning, nullifying her attack.
But what came next left everyone stunned. With a devious smirk, Orion beckoned the Gargoyle to unleash its "Evil Eye Petrification." The stone beast's eyes slowly began to open, releasing a malevolent beam. As the beam hit the Divine Sorcerer, it started to turn to stone, gradually immobilizing it. The petrifying effect began creeping onto Lyria, turning her feet to stone.
"Lyria, surrender now!" cried Lysander, genuine concern evident in his voice. As Lyria attempted to shout her surrender, Orion, with lightning speed, reached her, clenching her throat with his hand, cutting off her plea.
With a malicious chuckle, he whispered into her ear, "In a few moments, the petrification will consume you entirely. And then? You'll shatter to pieces." The entire arena was immersed in deafening silence, save for Orion's malevolent laughter.
