Bab 165: End of Battle and Obsidian's Interrogations

Adrenaline surged through Elder Obsidian. He roared a sound that echoed thunderously in the confined space and lunged. The basement floor trembled with the impact of his footfall. The woman, momentarily startled, stumbled back by the impact of her companion. It was the opening he needed. He launched himself at the duo, a human battering ram. She threw the man to the side and did so as well, but not fast enough. His armored shoulder slammed into her, sending her flying across the room with a sickening crack. He didn't waste a moment. A flicker of movement caught his eye. The man had already recovered and was already upon him. He moved with the grace of a serpent, his dagger a blur of silver as he aimed for Obsidian's legs. 

Obsidian pivoted on his heel with an agility that belied his size, the momentum nearly sending him crashing into a nearby column. He felt a warm sensation trickle down his calf—the assassin had gotten through the armor and managed to wound him.
