Bab 67: Ceremony (3)

Rose was so overwhelmed by the sudden attention and stampede of the people that she quickly hid behind her mother for protection. The guards saw the situation and wanted to go forward but they soon froze in their tracks. Unknowingly, a man dressed in black and gold robes appeared, his eyes looking calm and deep as the abyss. The examiners and guards quickly bowed and said,' We greet Elder Raven!" 

As soon as the crowd heard the words, the whole area fell into silence before a mass of shouts and voices could be heard, "We greet Elder Raven" they said with awe and respect. Their eyes shimmer like stars. 

"Look, look it is Elder Raven." a young man shouted. "He came in person; can you believe it!" his friend said excitedly. "I can't believe he's here"
