"Well! You've grown up, been in Belfard for five years, and now you've grown wings too hard for me to control, huh!" Christy shouted, "I discipline you, and you dare to fight back?"

"Do you want to hit me?" Christy suddenly let go and leaned her face towards Cindy's, "You're so capable now that you want to hit me, your own mother, right?"

"Come on, hit me! Hit me!" Christy brought her face even closer, pointing at her own cheek.

"What are you doing!" Joshua Clarke helplessly pulled Christy away, "It wasn't easy to find Cindy, can't we just talk things out? Does it have to be this way?"

"Regardless of what grievances there are, we should at least understand each other clearly before we proceed!" Joshua said helplessly.

"Did my mom ever tell you why I left?" Cindy asked.
