"I don't need it."
Shikera had been more than surprised to hear that, and she didn't hold back in expressing it.
"You don't need your—Didn't you bring any?" she asked instead of asking why he would not need his mask.
"I brought enough. It's just...I don't think I need to use it here. Looks like they don't watch the news; but if you want me to use it, then I will," Ethan shrugged.
"No, it's alright. I was just surprised."
"You sure about that?" Ethan teased, "Or you are scared your husband might be pulled by the women—"
Shikera cut him off before he was done talking, her eyes sending glares at him.
"You might end up getting pulled into the water instead. Now are you ready to leave or not?" she asked.
Pulling the door knob, she frowned when the door opened easily.
"Grandma Cooper must have been here before. I know she locked the door when she left earlier," she pointed out, stepping out of the house, followed closely by Ethan.
