Originally, Raze was going to create the items for the others first, but he was still slightly worried that a portal break would occur, and due to the state that Safa was currently in, having just gotten over her emotional burden, Raze thought that it would be a good distraction for her.

After all, she could practice a few things to learn with Light magic to keep her mind off things. Since Raze wouldn't be learning Light magic himself, it was important that she learned to use magic well so she could eventually even heal her voice.
