Ethan's poor little ego was something very delicate to navigate. Before I always fought it and tried to prove that I was just as masculine but now I knew when to pick my battles. When he had a goal he would do anything to achieve it and if he was denied it, he would grow frustrated until it ate him up from the inside out. 

I knew the easiest option would be to take the reins of our Spanish holiday but I would only be left with a bottom lip sticking out Ethan. In my defence we dealt with three energetic toddlers every single day. When I imagined us coming to Spain I thought we would have a beautiful weekend to rest, not go foraging in the forest looking for wood or having to cook by a fire.
